Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn
Reviving a historical landmark demanded an extensive restoration, addressing every aspect both inside and out. We carefully removed ceilings, partition walls, exterior walls and subfloors, unveiling the bare joists that held the essence of time. Our engineers identified a need for renewal, leading to the replacement of 20% of the original floor joists weathered by the passage of years.
In a seamless blend of modernity and heritage, the property now features new windows and entrance doors thoughtfully integrated into its historical tapestry. A sweeping glass storefront, elegantly spanning the building's width and embracing its side, invites natural light. The main cornice atop the building, custom fabricated out of fiberglass by a reputable supplier, was then painted and installed on site.
